Can horse trainers make you a better horseman? Better look again . .There are all types of horse trainers. The more you learn about horses, the more you begin to think about learning how to enjoy the experience. Riding horses professionally or for pleasure is like most sports. Some people make it look easy, like anyone can do it. Talk to a good horseman and they will admit that most people can quickly learn to stay on a horse. Should there be more to it than that? There can be so much more, from horse training to breeding to learning the special communication between horse and rider. My eyes were opened recently while talking about horses to one of the country's top trainers. It reminded me of my experience with the game of golf. I can say that I've played golf for many years. What I can't say is that I've played golf "well" for many years and enjoyed it! The neglect of learning proper techniques years ago could have changed my whole golf experience.
